Our host is Lori La Bey, knows what it is like to have a family member diagnosed with dementia. Her mother lived with dementia for thirty years and upon autopsy they found not only did her mother have Alzheimer’s disease, but Lewy Body dementia and Parkinson’s disease too. Lori understands the frustrations and need for resources for both families and professionals. In addition, Lori has experienced the beautiful gifts that dementia can offer people if they look for the joy before them.

Raising Awareness of All Dementia's

Alzheimer's Speaks Radio's mission continues to be to give voice to those diagnosed with a form of dementia, along with their care partners, and those that serve them around the world. We believe by sharing real stories about living with dementia from those diagnosed, family members, and those that care, we can give comfort, hope, and insights on how to live graciously with dementia. By allowing families, professionals, and advocates to share their resources; we are better equipped to create a more supportive dementia care culture.

“Thank you so much for having the show on incontinence. Jessica received her samples of Seni and OMG what an amazing product! The look on her face was priceless when it didn’t leak soaking her pants and the floor!  I can’t wait till tomorrow morning to say thank you and order some. What a great product!

I was seriously thinking I would have to cancel our Disney trip in December because of the leaking and soaking through her pants and onto the floor. I am so thankful to have found Seni.”

“I recently had the unique opportunity to appear as a guest on the Alzheimer’s Speaks radio show and it was truly a game changing experience from start to finish! I am truly thankful for the voice that Lori is giving current and former players around the challenges of concussions and their latent effects. The greater the discourse, the more likely things will take a positive turn regarding awareness and making a difference for those impacted. The opportunity also allowed me to engage with a global audience while offering ideas that will serve to advance the conversation around the intricacies of concussions. If given the opportunity, every individual touched by the challenges of concussion’s should leverage the Alzheimer’s Speaks platform to understand what is available to them as they move forward in life.”
